Graduation Requirements

 DIPLOMAS

Patrick Henry Academy offers two diplomas.  Both programs of studies will prepare them for success in college and satisfy requirements established by the S.C. Commission on Higher Education for enrollment in baccalaureate degree programs in state colleges and universities. No student will graduate without earning at least 24 credits during his or her high school career.

Prior to 2015 – 2016, there will be two degrees: Honors, for which students must follow the Honors course of study and earn at least 25 credits and College Prep, for which students must follow its corresponding course of student and earn at least 24 credits.

Beginning with the 2015 – 2016 school year, there will be three degrees of study (Honors, Advanced, College Preparatory) based on the number of credits earned for graduation. Students who follow the Honors track and earn at least 27 credits will receive an Honors Diploma. Students taking Honors courses who earn 25 or 26 credits will receive an Advanced Diploma. Students who are on the College Prep track and earn a minimum of 24 credits will receive a College Prep Diploma.

PHA encourages its students to follow its Honors Diploma Program.
