We are currently recruiting for the following positions for the 2021-2022 school year:

*IT Support Technician / Library Assistant 

  • Flexible hours

  The IT Support Technician is the first point of contact for help using and troubleshooting school hardware and software applications. They provide school level technology support for the entire school.

  Some responsibilities include:

      ● Serves as a liaison between Patrick Henry Academy and PRTC (Palmetto Rural Telephone Cooperative, Inc.)

      ● Adds user accounts to domain and assists with staff password changes ● Assists in the planning, development, maintenance and operation of computers and related hardware and software.

      ● Requests quotes for the purpose of providing cost information

      ● Purchases new technology and equipment

      ● Installs, sets up and maintains multimedia projectors and interactive whiteboards ● Setup, configure and install new computers and other school equipment ● Provides general support for classroom computing devices, multimedia projectors, iPads, Apple TV’s, Interactive whiteboards, printers, etc. by troubleshooting issues and helping users with basic instructions on the use of these devices.

     ● Provides support in accessing supplemental instructional software, Google Suite, RenWeb, Follett Destiny, Accelerated Reader, Microsoft Office, etc.

    ● Creates and prints reports

    ● Maintains a current inventory of equipment

    ● Collaborates with instructional and library media staff to support building level technology needs

  Library:

     ● Assist students and teachers in the use of library facilities and services in the library
     ● Perform circulation duties including checking books in and out, sorting and shelving books and keeping circulation records.

     ● Collect fines from students

     ● Maintain discipline in the library

     ● May supervise study halls

    ● Assist with elementary library activities

    ● Assist with the planning and execution of a book fair, twice-yearly

    ● Assist with the planning and execution of Accelerated Reader incentives

*Substitute Teacher

PHA is seeking reliable and dedicated candidates for substitute teaching positions throughout the school year. If interested, please submit the required documents listed above. Applicants will be required to complete a substitute training workshop. This workshop will familiarize you with school policies and practices and help you be a successful teacher in the classroom.

Qualifications for Teaching Positions:

  • Appropriate degree in the content area and/or teaching certificate in the content area. Teaching experience is encouraged.
  • Commitment to ensuring academic success for all students.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with students, staff and parents in an academically rigorous environment.
  • Must have excellent speaking, writing, organization and classroom management skills.
  • Dedication to PHA's Mission Statement.
